“Let me say that the staff at Kuza was very nice but that's pretty much the only positive for me. Taxi rides to and from the park were very expensive. Pretty much predatory and there is absolutely no mention of that cost when booking the excursion. Just FYI it cost $65 for 2 adults and 3 kids one way. We were told we could negotiate but once they know you have reservations, you're at their mercy. When we arrived at Kuza, we were taken back to the beach and told that our Mexican flavors class was at 9:15am and then another staff member told us 9:30. We arrived around 9:20…”

He was very informative and made the experience even more enjoyable. This is a great activity for couples and families with kids. Even if you don’t have transportation afterward, they help by flagging a taxi to make sure you get back safely. Overall, a wonderful experience I highly recommend.”

She was fluent in both English and Spanish, but due to my son being bilingual, his lesson was in Spanish. She was fun, kind, helpful and did a wonderful job! If we are ever back in Cozumel, we would book again in a heartbeat. Camila picked us up at the designated location on time and dropped is off after the lesson. She even recommended an amazing spot for lunch that we loved!”

We went back to her house and began cooking and making margaritas. Our group consisted of one non-cook, to a few novice cooks, to a trained professional chef of 35 plus years. We all learned, laughed, and enjoyed the entire experience. I would highly recommend this activity, if you like to eat delicious food from the Yucatán.”

Each of the four stations taught us something new. Learning about and seeing the Meliponini bees and sampling the honey were a highlight. He taught us enough to know that we need to come back to Cozumel for another visit! We packed a lot into our half day tour and it was wonderful - Cenote (with crocodile), chocolate, east coast beaches and more.”
